The HP 280 is a great choice for users who want an affordable office computer but expect to have a little more going on during the working day. It’s still straightforward and value-focused, but the stronger specification gives it more breathing room when several applications are running together.

It’s well suited to Microsoft Office, larger spreadsheets, web-based business systems, email, video calls, accounting software and multi-tab browser workloads, making it a strong option for busy home workers and small businesses. With 16GB of memory, switching between applications is comfortable, while the SSD keeps Windows and frequently used programs responsive.

For most office users, integrated graphics are all that’s required for everyday work and displays. If your requirements begin moving towards creative applications, CAD, video work or other graphics-heavy tasks, graphics upgrades are available — although customers with consistently demanding professional workloads should also consider the dedicated Workstation range.

The HP 280 gives you a useful middle ground: noticeably more capability than the very cheapest office system without paying for performance you may never use. Windows 11 and the necessary drivers arrive installed and ready to go.
